Back through time guide
Teigo is a diploma project produced by 5 graduate students from the Digital Design and Production course at Gobelins l'Ecole de l'Image a technical training college which is part of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris. The team, made up of members having complimentary skills, spent 8 months to design and produce this innovative service.
Teigo is a new generation urban guide consisting of a mobile phone application, an interactive wall map and an internet site. It offers a cultural and fun way to discover or rediscover a city. The prototype was produced for the city of Paris, but versions for other cities are planned.
To relive the historical events of places you visit, Teigo leads you along thematic itineraries during which you will receive interesting tourist information including places to eat and local events.
Installed in areas of strong tourist interest (tourist offices, museums, department stores, etc.),Teigo's interactive terminal's utility is to inform you about the history and evolution of the quarter or neighbourhood you are visiting. Among other things, it will allow you to download an itinerary.
Of course, the first step in discovering a city is making your trip preparations and planning the itinerary of your future city strolls. With Teigo's internet service you will be able to do this on-line.
How can urban heritage be transcended and made more accessible to visitors via a user-friendly multimedia device?
Teigo allows you to relive Paris before Haussmann or the uprising of May 68. You can even view the future development plans of Les Halles.
Teigo is made for the curious - city dwellers and tourists anxious to discover or rediscover a city. The service is available on several mediums in order to adapt to the largest possible number of users, whether technophiles or not.
Thanks to Tiego, the tourist will have all of the sightseeing tools he is used to, but with the added potential of multimedia.
Most of the members of the Teigo team are from Paris, five pairs of shoes, three iPhones and a common interest for urban culture and technological innovation.
